The issue of climate change has emphasised the need toprovide better information on building energy consumption, allowing propertyowners and managers the chance to achieve greater efficiencies. To this end, theprovision of energy assessment information is now a legal requirement on mostdomestic and commercial properties when they are being let or sold. Largerpublic buildings (over 1000 m²) now need to place a Display Energy Certificatein a prominent location informing visitors of energy consumption data. Underthe new air conditioning assessment process, all large air conditioning unitswill have been assessed by January 2009, with smaller units requiringassessment over the next few years.
Quidos offers a comprehensive energy assessment programcovering public, commercial and domestic buildings, and air conditioningsystems. We have a national database of fully qualified, Quidos accredited energyassessors, who have wealth of experience and expertise.
We operatea successful, ABBE certified DEA training centre, and our status as aCLG-approved accreditation body means we are able to offer a complete in-housepackage to our clients, from the initial instruction, to lodgement and issuing ofcertificates; helping us toensure the quality and professionalism of our contractors.
