This is the administration stage, your application and supporting documents are accepted and checked for any missing documentation in order to be passed to our APEL Assessor.

We identify an applicant’s experience and suitability for the APEL accreditation route, by reviewing their submitted skills audit form, curriculum vitae, personal statement and other existing qualifications.

Stage 2

We also require you to complete the following documents below. These will need to be sent to qas@quidos.co.uk

Witness Statement
Terms of Engagement
Personal Statement (approx. 500 words explaining your experience)
Copies of all qualifications and training certificates held
A completed Skills Audit form.

We can provide guidance for this also if necessary.

This stage is carried out by our APEL assessor, who will initially checks your suitability to continue with the APEL process. Their assessment will be made on your application and supporting evidence.

We check all supplied evidence above against the National Occupational Standards.

Stage 3

The assessment stage. The applicant will submit their air conditioning reports for assessment.

We assess three of your ‘live’ jobs against the National Occupational Standards.

This part of the process can typically take up to four weeks, depending on how promptly the applicant produces their reports for submission.

We advise applicants to submit their first report and then create the final two reports based on the feedback given on the first.

Once this has been passed, full APEL accreditation is granted.
