Earn Your ABBE Level 3 Certification
This combined 6-day online course provides in-depth training and preparation to become a certified Domestic Energy Assessor and Retrofit Assessor.
The 4-2 split covers:
- 4 days focused on the Domestic Energy Assessor qualification
- 2 days focused on the Retrofit Assessor qualification
Please note that, as part of our commitment to ensuring the competency of our learners, all candidates are required to complete a portfolio encompassing 5 properties for the Domestic Energy Assessor Course.
It is key that the quality of assessors is maintained and as such you will be expected to fully participate with our trainers. Those not participating will not have their portfolio signed off.
*Upon successfully completing your portfolio, you’ll receive your certificate. Please note, we do not have direct claims status (DCS) with ABBE yet meaning receiving your qualification may take longer than usual to receive.*
Candidates can apply for DEA/RFA accreditation as soon as they receive their electronic copy of the certificate.
- Pre-course reading material, including training manuals
- RDSAP (Methodology) software training
- Full ABBE registration
- Exam & portfolio assessment fees included
- e-certification for your convenience
- Dedicated guide and mentor throughout
- Free software with personal login
- Ongoing technical support and help line
- Informative and friendly tutorials
The course is largely discounted due to it being partially funded by DESNZ. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.
All learners must produce a portfolio of evidence, demonstrating knowledge acquisition and completing 5 property inspections to the required standard for Domestic Energy Assessor Course, along with written questions and tasks that need to be completed. For the Retrofit Assessor Course, you need to do one property assessment, answer written questions and a live Q & A. Guidance will be provided to all learners on how to complete this.
This is an intensive course so it will require focus and a proactive approach.
No previous qualifications or experience are necessary, but basic computer skills and a laptop is required as data input into software is part of producing energy performance certificates.
