Domestic Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (Updated in May 2019)
This Bitesize CPD module provides a through overview of the Minimum Energy Efficiency Requirements for domestic private-rented buildings which came into effect in April 2018 and updated further in April 2019. These standards will impact upon the vast majority of domestic buildings which are rented out, and the 2019 updates will see landlords being required to contribute further to the efficiency improvement of their dwellings.
This module looks in detail at the background to the standards, as well as looking through the details of the legislation and which types of building and tenancy will be impacted. The module also looks through which buildings will be exempt from the minimum standards, as well as exploring what the enforcement process will be for those who do not comply.
This module is essential reading for any energy assessors so they can stay one step ahead of the curve! The 2019 changes will mean that DEAs will need to know a little bit more about the updated requirements and guidance to ensure the best information is provided to your landlord clients.
Completion of the module will provide 1/2 hours’ worth of CPD towards an assessor’s annual requirement. The module is comprised of a presentation followed up by a short multiple choice quiz, which assessors will need to pass in order to obtain the certificate for the CPD.
Upon completion of the module and successful undertaking of the quiz, a copy of the certificate will be provided to the assessors via the Quidos Training team.
