Cavity Walls

This Bitesize online training module gives an overview of cavity wall construction. Correct entry of a property’s wall construction is one of the most fundamentally important aspects of an energy assessment, and completion of this module will provide a firm understanding of various aspects relating to cavity construction.This module looks in detail at the principles behind cavity wall construction, before then examining the techniques which can be used to ensure that cavities are identified accurately. The module then goes on to look at cavity wall insulation in both new and existing homes, and the techniques involved for retro-fitting insulation.This online training course can also be taken as 0.5 hrs CPD (continuing professional development) or simply as a training module.

The module is comprised of a presentation followed up by a short multiple choice quiz, which assessors will need to pass in order to obtain the certificate for the CPD. Upon completion of the module and successful undertaking of the quiz, a copy of the certificate will be provided to the assessors via the Quidos Training team.
