Quidos CPD Series: NDEA Quality
This Quidos CPD Series: NDEA Quality explores common problems that non-domestic energy assessors encounter when undertaking non-domestic assessments and a detailed analysis of all of the different lighting types that will be encountered when completing a Non-Domestic EPC.
Chapter one: NDEA Common Problems Part 1 (115099)
There is a significant amount of data that needs to be collected and then entered when producing a non-domestic EPC, and a large number of Conventions and rules which govern how reports should be completed. It is therefore very easy for NDEA assessors to come unstuck on certain issues and find themselves making mistakes within the software.
This chapter remedies this by identifying some of the most common mistakes and errors which are made by NDEA assessors, and offers advice and clarification on how to handle these situations in practice.
The vital subjects covered by this module include: vaulted roofs, indirectly conditioned spaces, zones without fixed HVAC, the selection of appropriate activity types and display lighting.
Chapter two: NDEA Common Problems Part 2 (115101)
Continuing on from the first chapter, this installment looks at a number of chief problems and issues encountered by non-domestic energy assessors, and how these situations should be dealt with for the EPC.
The subjects covered by this chapter include: buildings without any HWS, entry of HWS storage, the use of defaults, amending recommendations and the provision of adequate Q/A evidence. By completing this useful chapter, you will obtain a full understanding of how these issues should be dealt with when undertaking a report and be well equipped to avoid the pitfalls and mistakes which befall many non-domestic assessors.
Chapter three: Non-Domestic Lighting (119967)
There are a wide variety of different lamps out there in non-domestic buildings and completion of this important chapter will go a long way to understanding how all the different lamps operate and how they can be accurately identified.
This chapter looks through each of the different lighting types in turn, including a detailed look through LED, fluorescent, tungsten/halogen and high intensity discharge bulbs. The chapter will look at how each of the different lighting types operates and the advantages and disadvantages of each, as well as common applications and uses for each.
Completion of the Quidos CPD Series: NDEA Quality can be used to provide 4 hour’s worth of CPD towards an assessor’s annual requirement. The Quidos CPD Series: NDEA Quality is comprised of a series of presentations followed up by short multiple choice quizzes, which assessors will need to pass in order to obtain the certificate for the CPD.
Upon completion of the Quidos CPD Series: NDEA Quality and successful undertaking of the quizzes, a copy of the certificate will be provided to the assessors via the Quidos Training team
