Timber Frame Walls
This Bitesize training module gives an overview of timber frame wall construction. Correct entry of a property’s wall construction is one of the fundamental aspects of an energy assessment, and completion of this module will provide a firm understanding of various aspects relating to timber frame construction.
This module looks in detail at the principles which underline timber frame wall construction, before going on to look in detail at how timber frame walls can be accurately identified and characterised. The module then finishes by looking at the insulation options which are available for timber frame properties and how feasible these approaches are.
Completion of the module can also be used to provide 1/2 hour’s worth of CPD towards an assessor’s annual requirement. The module is comprised of a presentation followed up by a short multiple choice quiz, which assessors will need to pass in order to obtain the certificate for the CPD. Upon completion of the module and successful undertaking of the quiz, a copy of the certificate will be provided to the assessors via the Quidos Training team.
