In order to start working as a green deal advisor, you must first be fully qualified as a green deal advisor (GDA).

You can find a range of green deal advisor training courses available through the Quidos training centre.

To be or not to be

Once you are fully qualified as a green deal advisor, you will then have two options before you can being to start working as a green deal advisor.

Join a GDAO

1. You can join an existing Quidos green deal advice organisation, also known as a GDAO.

There are a range of certified Quidos green deal advice organsations available on the green deal orb for you to get in touch with and potentially start working with as a green deal advisor.

Please also feel free to call us in the office and we can provide you with a list of Quidos GDAOs to enable you to start working as a green deal advisor.

Become a GDAO

Option 2 would be to become a green deal advice organisation or ‘GDAO’ yourself.

Quidos is a green deal certification body and can grant green deal certification to companies and individuals looking to become a green deal assessor organisation, to provide the green deal advice service.

Please take a look at the Quidos green deal certification page for more information.

Being part of a GDAO

Once you have joined a GDAO, you will need to be registered as a green deal advisor (GDA) at the green deal register.

Your GDAO will provide you with information and support on how to do this but essentially, your accreditation number will need to be added firstly.

You will then need to add your assessor organisation ID. This can be found on your designated green deal advisor organisation GDAO page.

To search for a GDAO, you will need to go to to the ‘green deal assessor’ section, then click ‘more info’ and then you will see the certification ID.
