The ABBE Level 3 Combined Certificate qualifies learners as Domestic Energy and Retrofit Assessors, enabling PAS 2035-compliant assessments and a pathway to Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator roles.
This is a Level 3, entry-level qualification offered by ABBE that introduces the fundamentals of domestic retrofit in line with PAS 2035, the UK standard for whole-home energy retrofit. It provides a broad overview of the retrofit process, including who’s involved and key operational principle
As the UK retrofits millions of homes for net zero, Level 3 Retrofit Assessors—especially when combined with a Domestic Energy Assessor qualification—are in growing demand and can progress to roles as coordinators, designers, or consultancy owners.
A qualification that enables the learner to grasp the fundamentals of PAS 2038: its purpose, scope, and stance within non-domestic retrofit standards
This Level 3 Award targets older, traditional, or vulnerable buildings—typically constructed before 1919 recognising their unique construction, heritage value, and retrofit challenges.
The ABBE Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management qualification is intended for individuals who are employed in the built environment and construction industry. The Retrofit Coordinator is a mandatory role for all retrofit projects. This qualification meets the standards for domestic retrofit co-ordinators as outlined in PAS 2035 and the Each Home Counts Quality Mark.
This intensive course trains construction professionals as Retrofit Coordinators, covering PAS 2035 project planning, risk management, and quality assurance, with practical case studies to confidently manage retrofit projects from start to finish.
This Level 5, five-week ABBE bootcamp provides advanced domestic retrofit training, combining Domestic Energy, Retrofit, and Coordination assessments under PAS 2035, enabling learners to produce EPCs, conduct retrofit assessments, and manage projects to Each Home Counts standards.
