Quidos Partners with AWS and National Grid to Support Major Programme Helping Vulnerable Households This Winter
Quidos is pleased to confirm its role as a delivery partner in the next phase of National Grid’s Grid for Good Energy Affordability Fund, which includes a £2.3 million funding package to support vulnerable households facing rising energy costs across England and Wales.
As part of this programme, Affordable Warmth Solutions (AWS) has secured funding that will create a £770,000 scheme dedicated to providing free low-carbon heating systems and energy-efficiency upgrades to households who do not qualify for existing government support. This new phase will launch ahead of winter, helping to improve warmth, comfort, and energy efficiency for some of the most at-risk homes, utilizing Haydale Graphene’s JustHeat system – an innovative, ultra-efficient heating panel designed to deliver clean, even warmth with very low energy demand.
Catherine Garrido, Managing Director, Quidos:
“Quidos is proud to support Affordable Warmth Solutions and National Grid in delivering heating solutions to households at risk of fuel poverty. By combining expert assessment with advanced low-carbon technologies, this programme will help create warmer, healthier homes while supporting the transition to a more energy-efficient future.”
This announcement forms part of National Grid’s wider £10.5 million, three-year Grid for Good initiative, which has already supported tens of thousands of vulnerable households. This latest phase builds on that impact by ensuring practical, targeted support reaches the communities that need it most.
Quidos looks forward to contributing its expertise to help deliver high-quality, effective outcomes for the programme.
