Managing heat-loss is at the heart of the RdSAP calculation; with more emphasis on retrofit works to make homes more efficient, having a solid understanding in heat-loss and insulation is going to be key in ensuring the best outcomes of homeowners and tenants. This 1 hour CPD module has been created to look at how insulation works, how it is used in the built environment, and how it can be best input into RdSAP assessments.
By completing this RdSAP Insulation CPD module, you will be able to meet the following learning objectives:
– Understand how insulation works;
– Differentiate U-values, R-values and λ-value (lambda value);
– Compare the effectiveness of different types of insulation;
– Identify retrofit insulation solutions.
The online RdSAP Insulation course is comprised of a presentation followed up by a short multiple choice quiz, which assessors will need to pass in order to obtain their completion certificate.
Upon completion of the online RdSAP Insulation course and successful undertaking of the quiz, a copy of the certificate will be provided to the assessors via the Quidos Training team.
Completion of the online RdSAP Insulation course will provide one hour’s worth of CPD towards an assessor’s annual requirement.
