Domestic Energy Assessor Course (3 day) Online

🌟The Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to produce RdSAP Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for existing dwellings in the UK, using Government approved software.

Offered by Quidos, one of the UK’s leading energy assessment accreditation bodies and training providers, this course combines flexible e-learning with expert support to prepare you for a career as a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor.

Quidos offer online teaching as if you were in a classroom. The presentation slides, tasks, debates and other activities enable an engaging session tailored to different learning styles.

The course will involve:

•  3 full day online sessions (9.30am-4:30pm) covering the below topics:

Day 1

• Introductions
• Introduction to EPCs
• Property Description
• Property Age
• Property Dimensions
• Property Construction and Insulation

Day 2

• Walls
• Roofs
• Floors
• Flats
• Glazing
• Doors
• Heating

Day 3

• Ventilation
• Meters
• Hot Water
• Renewables and Lighting
• Addendum
• One File
• Using the RdSAP Software
• Portfolio Creation

The portfolio will involve:

• Completion of 5 test EPCs to make up a portfolio to be marked. Two of these will be given to you via virtual property software.
• 12 tasks to be completed to demonstrate your practical knowledge
• A set of written questions to demonstrate your theoretical understanding.
