Become a Digital Property Inspector

As the property assessment industry evolves, Digital Property Inspectors (DPIs) are playing an increasingly important role in gathering the accurate, high-quality data that underpins today’s digital inspections. This new training course has been designed to equip candidates with everything they need to become a competent, confident DPI, ready to carry out inspections to a professional standard from day one.

The course is structured around five comprehensive modules:

• Overview of the DPI role — understanding what the position involves and where it fits within the wider industry
• Equipment and software required to complete assessments — a clear, practical understanding of the tools of the trade
• Walkthrough of a completed inspection — showing exactly what a finished piece of work looks like in practice
• Examples of good and bad practice — the standards expected and the common pitfalls to avoid
• Submission of a completed report — how to bring the work together and deliver it correctly

In total, the five modules take approximately five hours to complete. Candidates are then required to carry out a Digital Property Inspection of their own, a practical exercise expected to take a further five hours, bringing the total course time to around ten hours.

On successful completion, candidates are able to carry out inspections and register with the new Quidos competency register for DPIs. Those who complete their training through Quidos also benefit from having the standard £50 application fee to join the register waived entirely, making this a cost-effective route into the profession.

The course costs £150 in total, covering full access to all training materials and modules.

This course can be counted as 10 hours of CPD.
