This course gives an overview of 1960s domestic housing. Understanding how domestic construction has changed throughout the years is an important aspect of being a domestic energy assessor and this module gives an introduction to the various different types of dwelling that were built during this period.
The course will examine different types of construction including cross wall, chalet bungalows and high rise buildings before moving on to look at the typical heating systems that were installed in houses from the 1960s. Finally the module concludes by looking through typical energy efficiency characteristics of dwellings from this era.
Presentation followed by a short multiple choice quiz.
