The first part of a two-part series looking at the different HVAC systems which will be encountered during a Level 4 non domestic energy assessment. Entering a HVAC system correctly is one of the most important aspects of the non-domestic EPC process, and completion of this module will help in ensuring that this causes no problems for assessors. It’s aimed at offering Level 3 assessors who are looking to upgrade to Level 4 an overview of the systems they will encounter, but also provides a useful refresher for qualified Level 4 assessors.
This module looks in depth at fan coil systems, water loop heat pumps, chilled beams and chilled ceilings. This includes an overview of how these systems operate, the pros and cons of each and which systems offer the best efficiency. It also gives an overview of why HVAC is important and how the SBEM calculation engine processes the data entered.
Presentation followed by a short multiple choice quiz.
