The SAP Assessor (On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor – OCDEA) qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge required to complete energy calculations using Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) software and produce SAP Energy Performance Certificates (SAP-EPCs) for newly built domestic dwellings.

The Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is the UK Government’s methodology for assessing the energy performance of new-build homes. It is mandatory for every newly constructed domestic dwelling in the UK and demonstrates compliance with the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and Part L of the Building Regulations.

SAP assessments take into account a wide range of factors, including building construction details such as walls, roofs, floors, doors and windows, heating and hot water systems, heating controls, ventilation systems and renewable technologies.
