This module gives an overview of cavity wall construction. Correct entry of a property’s wall construction is one of the most fundamentally important aspects of an energy assessment, and completion of this module will provide a firm understanding of various aspects relating to cavity construction.
It explores the principles behind cavity wall construction, before then examining the techniques which can be used to ensure that cavities are identified accurately. The module then goes on to look at cavity wall insulation in both new and existing homes, and the techniques involved for retro-fitting insulation.
Presentation followed by a short multiple choice quiz.
