This module provides a thorough overview of the Minimum Energy Efficiency Requirements for non-domestic buildings which are coming into effect in April 2018. These standards will impact upon the vast majority of non-domestic buildings which are rented out, and should have a large impact upon work opportunities for non-domestic energy assessors with the increased workload.
It looks in detail at the background to the standards, as well as looking through the details of the legislation and which types of building and tenancy will be impacted. Moreover, it also covers which buildings will be exempt from the minimum standards, as well as exploring what the enforcement process will be for those who do not comply.
